Following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and de facto Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s discussion on Tuesday regarding the Rohingya crisis, Turkey has been permitted to send 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the region. The aid will not be limited to food and clothing, but will also include medicine and health products sent intermittently. They also discussed options for delivering humanitarian aid and resolving the crisis. Erdoğan condemned both terrorism and the use of disproportionate force. Myanmar had before blocked all United Nations aid agencies from delivering food, water and medicine to Rohingya Muslims: TIKA will be the first foreign agency to enter the region. On Wednesday Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will travel to Bangladesh’s Dhaka to speak with Rohingya refugees.
Serbian PM meets with US State Department official
PM Ana Brnabic on Tuesday met on the margins of the Bled Strategic Forum with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Brian Hoyt Yee. The Serbian government announced this on its website – adding, while quoting Brnabic – that “one of Serbia’s foreign policy priorities is a continuation of the positive dynamics of relations with the United States of America”. They also “discussed the European path of Serbia and agreed that the European integration of the entire region is a key element of regional stability and development”. Brnabic said that EU membership is a foreign policy priority for Serbia, that our country will remain a reliable and credible EU partner, but that it is very important that all EU institutions have a constructive approach and that they are open and ready to admit new members. They also “spoke about the improvement of economic cooperation and agreed that there is room for its intensification, first and foremost in the fields of energy and mining”
PM Marković: To finalise Business Zone Mojkovac in 2018
The Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković said today to the leadership of the Municipality of Mojkovac that the campaign to develop the area and the Northern Region has to be stronger in order to create new jobs and to offer a better life. He added that one of the priorities should be the opening of the Business Zone in Mojkovac next year and the plan is already done. Dealing with tourism, he said that it’s really important to improve the chance of the area but it is really crucial as well to protect the Tara river. Mayor of the Municipality of Mojkovac Dejan Medojević informed the Prime Minister about the progress they made in making the area better, expecially in building new roads.
Several illegal migrants shelter centers shut down in Libya
The Head of the Illegal Immigration Fight Center, Mohammed Besher, ordered Tuesday the shutdown of several migrants shelter centers in Tripoli, Sorman, Al-Khums, and Al-Gala. The order says the centers will be shut down because they are located in residential areas that are not prepared to host such centers, which have been built randomly and at odds with human rights conditions.According to the order, most of the closed shelter centers don’t comply with the legal standards of such buildings and are not built for this purpose – illegal immigration shelter centers, adding that they are owned by persons as farms and big stores, not special buildings for the ministry of the interior.Doctors Without Borders urged last Friday Libya to end the arbitrary arrests of illegal migrants and asylum seekers.
Intelligence official: ISIS receives local and international support
ISIS fugitives in Libya are receiving national and international support, Chief of Military Intelligence of Al-Bonyan Al-Masrous Operation, Brig. Gen Mohammed Ganaidi, has revealed, adding that the military vehicles that the radical group is using around Sirte now had been imported from a Gulf state. Speaking to Alnabaa TV on Monday, Ganaidi said Dignity Operation had imported military vehicles from the United Arab Emirates, but they ended up in the hands of ISIS extremists. Ganaidi estimated that there are about 300 ISIS militants moving freely in south Sirte valleys and in the southern region, saying their forces are ready to confront ISIS or Dignity Operation militias if they come to Sirte.
Kuwait denies PC statement that its embassy in Tripoli will reopen
Kuwaiti deputy foreign minister Khalid Al-Jarallah has refuted a report from the Presidency Council (PC) that Kuwait is planning to reopen its embassy in Tripoli. Three days ago, in a statement about talks between PC head Faiez Serraj and visiting Kuwaiti ambassador Mubarak Al-Adwani on Thursday, the Presidency Council said on its Facebook page that the ambassador had “praised” the security situation in the capital and said that the embassy would be reopening. Responding to it, Jarallah told the local Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida that no date had been set to reopen the embassy and that the reason Adwani had gone to Tripoli was to inspect the embassy buildings and check up on the situation in the city.In his meeting with Serraj, Jarallah added, the ambassador had simply discussed the situation in Libya.

Ben Dagher: We will not allow Iran to have a foothold in Yemen
The internationally recognized Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Ben Dagher vowed not to allow Iran to have a foothold in his country. Ukrainian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko says that Canada denied a visa to 34% of Ukrainian applicants in the first three months of 2017, according to the Ukrainian portal Censor.net. “We now have a catastrophically large share of denials of Canadian visas to Ukrainians. [This is] a critically large percentage of denials. If last year the number of denials decreased to 24%, then this year 34% of Ukrainians were denied Canadian visas in the first quarter”, he told Censor.net. Shevchenko says this is connected with outdated assessments of Ukrainians and the associated migration risks prevailing in consulates and embassies. “And it seems to me that the visa-free regime with the European Union should encourage our Canadian friends to reevaluate this story. Ukraine is not currently among the countries with the highest migration risks”, the ambassador said. At the same time, he mentioned positive changes in the visa processing procedure. On June 16, Canadian MP from the Liberal Party Borys Wrzesnewskyj called for the abolition of visas for Ukrainians, following the EU’s example.
Houthis decide to arrest Saleh and transfer him to Saada
Houthi militia decided to arrest former presidente Ali Abdullah Saleh and transfer him to Saada. That’s confirmed the militia’s decision to end the alliance with the General People’s Congress party headed by Saleh. In the last meeting of General People’s Congress, Saleh voiced the importance of working to empower military and security institutions and popular committees and volunteers’ efforts to provide security, tried to reassure its supporters and the capital’s residents and stressed for national unity. Also he recalled terms of their alliance for the partnership in managing the government in Sanaa with houthi but the past days have seen a sharp increase in tension between the allies of the coup Houthi and Saleh. Houthis militias bombed the home of a leader of Ali Abdullah Saleh’s political party, the first of its kind as tensions group between the two allies.
