Usama Juwaili, the commander of the western military zone, on Friday attacked the village of Abu Khamash and took over control of the Ras Jedir border. The official statement of the Presidential Council said that the aim of the military operation was to bring security and stability in the area and to improve the livelihood of Libians. Juwaili visited Zuara to meet tribal figures from the town, which have an important role in the negotiations between the commander and local forces and also in the integration of various armed groups.
