The situation between Croatia and Montenegro regarding the maritime border of the Prevlaka peninsula is getting tense. Because of security reasons, Montenegro’s interest in the peninsula of Prevlaka is far more evident than Croatia’s. Indeed, the control over the border is a matter of security: the peninsula is located at the entrance of the Bay of Kotor, near the border with Montenegro. Zagreb and Podgorica are currently undergoing serious negotiations.
