Iran’s defense minister called for increase of cooperation among regional countries to elevate security in the region. Ensuring peace, stability and security for all the regional states is Iran’s strategy against the enemies’ strategy for destabilizing the region, Brigadier General Amir Hatami said on Tuesday. He added that Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey’s successful cooperation against Takfiri terrorism is an example. The defense minister said that ‘Iran will spare no effort to help preserve the regional countries’ territorial integrity and stability. “We believe that the separation stream in Iraq is harmful to the region’s security,” he added. The official said that Iran will cooperate with the Iraqi central government to counter such moves, noting that both terrorism and efforts for partition of regional countries have the same origin.
